Starting on May 15th, 2016, we will begin the process of converting all U.S. clients over to a new, updated QuickFlora POS Module and Website/Ecommerce Cart. These are free updates which are included in your monthly subscription.
Updated POS Module 6.0
Live POS 6.0 Preview Demo
This new POS module is the compilation of nine months updating and live testing our existing POS module to the new HTML5 Responsive CSS capability, optimizing POS for optional touchscreen use and implementing new security measures for employee login and EMV use for US users.
This new module will only work on a computer (PC only, not MAC) that is pre-registered (via IP address) going forward. If you are an existing POS module user, each terminal address will be logged on our end - and with every login - for security purposes.
We have created new POS functions that will work optimally with Windows 8 and 10 touchscreen monitors. You don’t need to purchase any new hardware in order to use these new functions, but you may decide to update to a touchscreen in the near future as the prices have dropped considerably within the marketplace (priced now under $200 for a 20” touchscreen on Amazon and $500 for a all-in-one touchscreen PC).
We have optimized the POS receipt printing module with a new, local windows-based app in order to print faster and more reliably in terms of paper receipts. Contact support to schedule the installation of this new module. Installation time is about one hour per terminal.
POS receipts can now display your own custom message. In addition to POSX receipt printers, we are also now compatible with STAR TSP1000 printers.
There are new, faster ways to add items to any POS order or use a barcode scanner if needed.
We now support gift balance cards at POS, OE and Websites and the system can keep track of gift card balances on partially used cards redeemed. We have streamlined the gift card processing functions at POS an OE and also added the capability for Groupon, Living Social, Gilt City and other group discount vendors. The GL module has also been updated to record unearned income transactions at the accounting level.
Lots of valuable features to make your life much easier at POS!
New Website 6.0
We have completely revamped the existing ecommerce shopping cart to be compatible with responsive phones and tablet screens. This means the new cart will be fully mobile compatible with the new HTML5 standards and modern browsers.
There are now “dynamic” home page sliders that allow you to vary the text on any banner or image you upload. You can also upload your own slider images directly or choose from any of our templates.
The cart “checkout” process has been compressed to one page (instead of three) to increase conversion rates.
You can choose from over 3,000 color palettes in order to customize the look and feel of your own website.
We won’t go into all the new features, but you can see a demo preview of the cart at this link below:

Please note, you can customize the color palette from any one of 3,000+ color combinations. In addition to all sliders shown and images.
New Order Entry 9.0 Features
New, custom multi-point Google mapping options are available upon request. You can now break down zip codes into custom sub-zones using custom mapping options.
New “Hold” and “Replacement” options for users (with GL mapping on the back end).
New “Production Enterprise Manager” for large volume shops and holiday use. We have updated the Advanced Pick Screen to serve the needs of large scale production multi-store production environments. We have also added a new ‘Production Dashboard” for everyday or holiday users. These new modules are all tablet-compatible.
New advanced SSRS financial reporting tools (Financial Dashboard). New SSRS reporting system for all users that can be easily modified on special request. This allows easy export to Excel, PDF and other formats for offline data analysis.
Review Function Option - We have added the ability to hold all orders into a “review” que so they can be manually reviewed by a human operator before they are released to production and delivery and before orders appear on production pick screens.
Compatibility with Zebra 2824 barcode labels has been enhanced to allow mass printing of labels. New barcoding capability for enclosure cards.
New Reservation Module for Flower Classes.
New Purchase Order Module for large enterprise shops. New purchase order system syncs real-time inventory across multiple locations. This also allows emails to vendors with each PO.
Advanced Delivery Confirmation screen.
Third Party Delivery Services - We have released a new SDK for those users needing to interface with third-party delivery services electronically. This is an optional module available to any user for a fee.
Under development for summer/fall release:
Option to use the pick screen for individual items as opposed to picking the whole order (released in beta).
New purchase order/receive/return management functions for multi-store operators.
New options for text/SMS notices for delivery confirmations.
Pick screens for specific designers using Android or Apple tablets (released in beta).
Custom options for Crystal Reports-SSRS options for large shops (released in beta).
MAC-OS X POS Module with Star printers.
IOS Mobile Native Apps
We have updated our IOS app to be fully compatible with the latest operating version. Also this connects directly to the same payment gateway and POS/OE.
Flower Class Reservation System
We have released the latest version of our reservation system for those shops hosting flower classes in your store or offsite. This is an optional module.
EMV Smart Card Compatibility for US Users
We have been testing EMV options for US users and plan to release the first version compatible with the IPP320 terminal hardware. Please note: Only specific hardware and processors are compatible with Quickflora for EMV use. DO NOT purchase any EMV terminals without consulting with us on compatibility.
From a security point of view, new Tokenization technology will remove all retailer liability with regard to PCI Compliance and avoid any need for PCI compliance once fully implemented on all future POS systems.
QuickBooks-QuickFlora Interface
We have made significant improvements to the QuickFlora-QuickBooks GL export interface. This is an optional module you may choose to implement at any time.
Flower Shop Network-QuickFlora Interface
We have made significant improvements to the FSN order interface to allow users to send and receive FSN orders for free (as opposed to using Mercury and Dove). This is an optional interface for FSN members and users and a great alternative to the expensive wire service order transmission systems.
